Executive Search Consultant
Prospectus
We were the first recruitment business in the UK to become a certified B-Corp, part of a network of businesses that balance purpose and profit. With our established networks built up over 60 years of business, we pride ourselves on low staff turnover and our collaborative, inclusive culture that enables you to be your authentic self.
Our office is in London and we are currently working in a hybrid way, with around 60% of our time at home. We are open to discussing entirely remote working though as well as any other kind of flexible working.
Executive Search at Prospectus
As a team we deliver Executive level search across the UK’s not for profit sector. We are currently a team of four consultants, two Researchers and an Administrator but we also work closely with our colleagues across Prospectus.
We work with organisations as diverse as Stonewall, Refugee Action, Southbank Centre, and Friends of the Earth. The team, like the wider company, have a deep commitment to building inclusive organisations and we are passionate about contributing to solutions that drive real world impact and change.
We offer a high-quality executive search process and are truly collaborative. No one at Prospectus works on individual commission and this drives a highly inclusive and supportive environment. We have amazing networks and thrive on the relationships and learning we share together.
With around 120 leaders appointed across the sector each year we know we have an impact on both individual lives and the success of the not for profit organisations we work with.
About the Role
Reporting to Linda Griffiths, Associate Director, you will be a key part of a highly successful, growing and ambitious team with a real drive to contribute to the impact of the not for profit sector.
There are two key aspects to the Consultant role - business relationship development and project delivery. You will proactively grow and develop your own network of clients through your own research, existing relationships within the business and through your great approach to relationship building. You will work in close partnership with these clients to advise them on the best solution for their senior recruitment requirements and go on to deliver a high quality, tailored approach to identify, attract, assess and appoint the very best talent into their organisation.
Each day will be different with huge opportunities for learning and personal development. You will own your own success but be fully supported in growing your career at Prospectus. We have clearly defined career paths throughout the business and our own Learning and Development team to support you as you grow your career.
About You
You will be a fantastic relationship builder, with experience in a client-facing role. You are a great listener, are energised by interacting with people and have a curious and inquisitive mindset. In addition you will be good at structuring your time and be able to manage multiple and often conflicting demands in order to meet agreed targets. Previous experience in recruitment is not essential, but a willingness to learn about it is!
With a key part of Prospectus’ strategy focused on improving diversity across the sector you will need to bring a demonstrable commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
About the Package
The salary for this role is in the region of £45,000 per annum depending on experience. Prospectus doesn’t operate an individual commission structure but we do recognise our success each year with a company-wide profit related bonus scheme.
Company benefits include a matched contribution pension scheme, an employee loan scheme, an employee assistance programme which also offers a huge range of retail, travel and leisure discounts, and six days off each year to volunteer anywhere you choose.
You will also benefit from a structured learning and development programme with career progression goals set early on.

Prospectus is committed to achieving greater diversity in our staff team, and actively encourage Black people, People of Colour and disabled people to apply.
